📝 What is CEED?

CEED is a national exam for entering Master’s degree design programmes (M.Des) in IITs, IISc, and selected government/private institutes. It tests how clearly you think and how convincingly you express ideas.

Simple Details

✅ Eligibility

• You need a Bachelor’s (or equivalent) degree in Engineering, Architecture, Design, Interior Design, or Fine/Applied Arts.
• Final-year students of such degrees are also eligible (At the time of admission, you’ll need to show your provisional/temporary passing certificate from your college).
• No age limit.
• Unlimited attempts — you can reappear as many times as you meet eligibility.

📚 Exam Structure

CEED has two parts that test two different skill-sets:

• Part A (Analytical & Aptitude Skills)

  Computer-based test with questions on logical reasoning, observation, design awareness, and visual/spatial ability.

• Part B (Creative & Visual Skills)

  Pen-and-paper section that checks sketching, visualization, storytelling, and idea communication.

(Both sections together usually make the exam ~3 hours long. Part A screens candidates; only shortlisted students get Part B evaluated.).
