📝 What is UCEED?

UCEED is India’s national entrance exam for Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programmes at IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Delhi, IIITDM Jabalpur, and other participating institutes. The exam checks how clearly you think, how well you solve design problems, and how effectively you can communicate your ideas.

Simple Details

✅ Eligibility

• Must have completed Class 12 (or equivalent), or be in your final year of Class 12.
• Age limit: Candidates should be born on or after October 1, 2000 (for the 2025 exam).
• You can attempt UCEED a maximum of 2 times, in consecutive years.

📚 Exam Structure

UCEED evaluates two main skill areas:

• Part A (Analytical & Aptitude)

  Computer-based section assessing logical reasoning, observation skills, general awareness, and visual/spatial aptitude.

• Part B (Creative & Visualization)

  Pen-and-paper section testing sketching, idea generation, visualization, and communication of concepts.

(The exam usually lasts about 3 hours. Part A acts as a qualifying round; only candidates who clear Part A appear for Part B.)
